Transforming Complex Global Impact Data into Clear, Compelling Donor Communications that Changes Lives

As a freelance Senior Art Director and Designer for Heifer International, I partnered with internal communications and development teams to design reports, presentations, and one-sheets that translated complex program data into clear, engaging visual stories. Heifer is a global nonprofit focused on ending hunger and poverty through sustainable agriculture and market-based development. I created polished, information-rich materials that helped leadership and donor-facing teams communicate program scale, outcomes, and strategic initiatives with greater clarity, consistency, and credibility.

Challenge

Heifer’s work spans multiple countries, programs, and audiences. The challenge was to turn dense information and impact data into materials that were easy to understand, visually engaging, and credible.

Execution

Conducted a brand audit of existing materials and led the design of annual and impact reports, donor presentations, magazine template refresh, and program one-sheets that balanced storytelling, photography, and data visualization. I helped simplify complex information, strengthen visual hierarchy, and create polished materials that made Heifer’s global work easier to communicate and act on.

Results

Supported communications around impact metrics, including 2.05 million families / 14.5 million people assisted in 2018, 3.39 million families reaching or moving toward a living income by 2019, and 895,015 active participant households in FY22.
